Terms and Conditions for Usage of Digital Signature Certificate

The digital signature usage is subject to various Indian laws and jurisdiction of courts, tribunals and authorities in India.

Wrong use of the digital signature certificate or its services shall be liable to be proceeded with civil and criminal consequences and shall be subjected to penalties and punishment. The Information Technology Act, 2000 rules provide for specific duties of subscribers as contained in Chapter VII of the Act.

In no event NSDL shall be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, reliance, cover or liquidated damages, including not but limited to loss of profits, revenue, data or use incurred by the other party, and resulting from the digital signature services offered by NSDL.

The digital signature certificate being used is for the purpose permitted for the corresponding class of the certificate. The aforementioned information has been read and understood.
