Budget 2017-18
- Budget of Government of NCT of Delhi in 2017-18 is proposed at Rs. 48000 Crore.
- The total budget of Rs. 48000 crore in 2017-18 is 16.5 per cent higher than the Revised Estimates of Rs. 41200 Crore in 2016-17.
- The total financial support to local bodies in 2017-18 is Rs. 7571 crore which is 15.8 percent of the total Budget and 14.9 percent higher than the funds given in the Revised Estimates of 2016-17.
- Plan and Non-Plan destination has been removed and budget has been prepared under Revenue and Capital head.
Delhi Economy
- The Gross Estate Domestic Product of Delhi at current prices is likely to increase to Rs. 622385 crore in 2016-17 from Rs. 551963 crore in 2015-16, indicating a growth of 12.76 percent, despite the negative impact of demonetization on the economic activities of the state.
- At constant prices, the growth in GSDP of Delhi in 2016-17 is expected to be 8.26% as against 7.1% at the national level.
- The per capita income of Delhi at current prices is likely to increase to Rs. 303073 in 2016-17 which is 10.77% higher over the per capita income of Rs. 273618 in 2015-16.
- The per capital income of Delhi is about three times higher than the per capita income of Rs. 103818 in 2016 at the national level.
