How to edit e-TDS Return/Statement in Regular FVU ?

All you knows that all correction in e-TDS Return/Statement be prepared by TIN-NSDL software RPU 2.5 and above. On 10th June, 2011 announced by Income Tax Department but now implemented. It means earlier e-TDS Retirm correction prepared by RPU 2.4 by using Regular FVU, which was accepted by TIN-NSDL. But now, NSDL rejects all correction statement which are not prepared by NSDL RPU 2.5.

It is observed that correction in e-TDS/TCS statement after filed by you during the period April 2011 to June 2011 is rejected at the TIN central system. The reason for rejection can be viewed at the TIN website (www.tin-nsdl.com) under Quarterly Statement Status.

It is also observed that you are using the old version of the NSDL – Return Preparation Utility (RPU) for preparation of your e-TDS/TCS correction statement.

You are advised to use the latest version of RPU available on the TIN website (Downloads–e-TDS/TCS). Current RPU version is 2.5.

It is mandatory to prepare correction statement with consolidated TDS/TCS file, which is available to registered TANs on the TIN website. Detailed guidelines (e-Tutorial) for TAN registration and request for consolidated TDS/TCS file are available on the TIN website.
